Some things noteworthy from this year’s annual general meeting (AGM) were some housekeeping changes that were adopted to our Constitution in sections 3d, 4c, 10a, 10b, and 10c. Other proposed amendments as indicated in the Constitution document were also presented for discussion, as well as changes to our foundation statements of Vision, Mission and Passion. The deadline for responses from the membership is September 30, 2024, to allow time for the Board to digest the feedback prior to its retreat in early November. Although our AGM did not include a Renewal Day speaker this year, we still took a special collection towards our budget. Your financial contribution is needed more than ever. The Executive Director’s position was cut in half this year in an attempt to slow the financial bleeding. But we are still forecasting a sizable deficit. We have some money in the bank, but it won’t last much longer. Your donations will help us remain alive – which is not an overstatement. Unless we receive a significant increase in donations this year, our future beyond 2024 is in jeopardy. More than ever, there is a need to provide encouragement and a voice for evangelicals within the PCC as well for those who have departed.
