Friday, May 1 – Dunamis is celebrating its 20th Anniversary in both Edmonton, Alberta, and Guelph, Ontario. Pray for the technology team as they are working on a simulcast between these two centres.
Saturday, May 2 – Westwood Presbyterian Church, Winnipeg, Manitoba, begins prayerfully seeking God's guidance under the leadership of the Rev. Kaitie MacIntosh, the Interim Moderator, for its next chapter. Pray for God's wisdom and provision during this time of discernment.
Sunday, May 3 – St. John's Presbyterian Church, Winnipeg, Manitoba, is welcoming a candidate preaching for the call. Pray for God's clear guidance for the congregation and the candidate to discern if it is a true gospel call.
Monday, May 4 – Thank God for a rising generation of teens and young adults eager to explore the Reformed Presbyterian heritage and to join in the revival and renewal of Presbyterian congregations!
Tuesday, May 5 – Pray that seniors in our congregations would be encouraged to use their gifts and influence to share their faith and grow God's kingdom in the community.
Wednesday, May 6 – Pray for the Friendship in Faith group who are meeting tonight at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Simcoe, Ontario, that the adults living with developmental disabilities and their friends may be blessed by the singing, Bible story, craft, and snacks.
Thursday, May 7 – Join the Malawi Friends of Prison Ministry and pray for Lyca as she completes her studies in preparation for ordination. Ask that God would guide her learning, strengthen her calling, and prepare her for faithful ministry in the years ahead.
Friday, May 8 – An Increase in attendance at Knox Spadina Presbyterian Church, Toronto, Ontario, has increased the need for more volunteers eager to help out in Sunday School, cooking or cleaning up after Soup Sundays, and getting involved in new home church groups. So many potential volunteers are students. Pray they can put down roots and experience the blessings of volunteering, even if they are only part of the congregation for two or three years.
Saturday, May 9 – Pray for St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Parry Sound, Ontario, as they welcome summer guests to their pulpit, that each may feel welcome and at home as they bring God's Word. Also, pray that as the congregation moves into summer, it may be a time when they see many new visitors and former summer visitors who've worshiped with them through the years.
Sunday, May 10 – Christian Family Sunday / Mother's Day – Pray for parents today facing greater challenges than ever, seeking to raise godly and faithful children, that God may raise up programs and leaders in our churches to support families.
Monday, May 11 – Pray for the Malawi Friends of Prison Ministry team – Hastings, Takwonda, Lyca, Rammy, Hastings, and Joel – as they bring the hope of Jesus into prisons throughout Malawi. Ask that God would encourage them, protect them, and use them to transform lives.
Tuesday, May 12 – Pray for The Up! Daily Devotional which comes out five mornings a week over email, social media, and as a podcast, that readers and listeners would find practical help and hope to live in Jesus' footsteps daily. Give its author, the Rev. Matthew Ruttan, of Barrie, Ontario, wisdom and energy.
Wednesday, May 13 – Pray for the people of Malawi, Africa, as they face rising food and fuel costs. Ask that God would provide for their daily needs and bring strength and hope during challenging economic times.
Thursday, May 14 – Pray for the Rev. Bartholomew Alexander and St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Banff, Alberta, a town whose economy depends almost entirely on tourism, that their efforts to reach out to seasonal visitors may be blessed.
Friday, May 15 – Pray for our commissioners to the upcoming General Assembly, that they may have wisdom and understanding as they read reports, and have eyes to see the effect of motions proposed.
Saturday, May 16 – Pray for the government of Canada; that leaders and elected representatives may act humbly and wisely, creating laws and supporting policies that are consistent with the gracious will of God to better the lives of their constituents.
Sunday, May 17 – Ascension Sunday – Pray for those watching live streams of worship services at home, some of whom are unable to be at worship in person. Pray also that churches would know how best to encourage those who are able to attend in-person and to enrich (and be enriched by) fellowship and community.
Monday, May 18 – Victoria Day – As Canada celebrates its peace and prosperity, pray for the ongoing negotiations for peace in so many places in the world where pride, anger, greed, and hatred are strong.
Tuesday, May 19 – For the new Parents and Tots Playgroup at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Barrie, Ontario, that moms and dads from the community would be nourished and helped during this exciting and tiring chapter of their lives.

Thursday, May 28 – Pray for The Underground, a ministry for ages 13-18, which is holding Bayfest, a weekend retreat at St. Luke's Sports Club in Grande Pointe, Ontario. Pray for the leaders and participants as they gather this weekend, that lives may be changed.
Friday, May 29 – Pray for the Golden Friendship Seniors' Friday Luncheon today at Cheyne Presbyterian Church, Stoney Creek, Ontario, that the seniors may be encouraged to use their gift and influence to share their faith and grow God's kingdom in their community.
Saturday, May 30 – Pray for young people considering Christ's claims and God's call to ministry, that they may be directed wisely in discerning when, where, and what to study in preparation. Pray, too, that they might find summer jobs to enable them to fund their post-secondary education.

Pray, too, for the new elders joining the Session as they begin their six-year terms of teaching, serving, and fellowship in Christ.
