Inspiration via Orthodox Prayer

Posted on June 16, 2022 by Douglas Rollwage

When I was asked to contribute a reflection on an ancient prayer, all I had to do was look up from my desk, and there was the answer – an Orthodox Prayer based upon the Prayer of St. Ioannikios, as well as the traditional and ancient Troparia to the Holy Trinity. I had printed out … Read more

Prayer Calendar Request

Monday, May 18, 2026 - Victoria Day – As Canada celebrates its peace and prosperity, pray for the ongoing negotiations for peace in so many places in the world where pride, anger, greed, and hatred are strong.

2026 Pastors Retreat
2026 Pastors Retreat

The hope within you

Our cultural moment is one in which it is easy to lose hope, so, as pastoral leaders, we will consider and celebrate the hope that is ours in Christ and explore what it means for us to nurture this hope.

This two-night/three-day retreat, from lunch on Monday, November 2, to lunch on Wednesday, November 4, at Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre in Mississauga, Ontario, will feature guest speaker Rev. Dr. Roland DeVries, principal of Presbyterian College in Montreal.

The cost remains low ($100) thanks to generous donations from several congregations and families. A travel subsidy is available for those traveling from 500 km or more.
